January 16, 2011

It was a great Sunday here in New Zealand. Nancy and  I went to church and choir practice. The choir is singing in the ward in two weeks. It should be a great experience to be in a choir here. Tonight, Nancy and I went to see the CES fireside Elder Christofferson gave in the states last week because last Sunday for us was Saturday in the states and the fireside hadn't happened yet. I am still getting used to this being a day a ahead thing. It blows my mind. The fireside was good and on keeping our faith strong and making sure we work to strengthen it daily so we can have a foundation to stand on in trails and hard times. Also about how sometimes you just have to get though the day and not give up and then let the Holy Ghost lead you to when you should look to the future. I really liked it and needed it. We went up to the fireside with some YSA from our ward. It was great to meet more of them. They want to show us New Zealand and do stuff with us while we are here. I am pretty excited. It would be so fun to spend time with them. This going to show what an EFY junkie I am but oh well that's me. So EFY in New Zealand happened last week and two of the YSA girls we went with tonight were counselors. I got to ask them how it was and compare it to EFY in the states. It is mostly similar but had it differences like some of the participants dong the Haka on the last day and I got to see the shirts for this year which I really like. EFY has only been in New Zealand for two years, and it was great to talk to some of the girls who were counselors. It makes me even more excited to be a counselor for EFY back in the states. I am so an EFY junkie, but what can I say I love EFY!
